Access Statements for Planning purposes
Access statements are included in the Design and Access Statement (DAS) required by Local Authorities with planning applications for certain buildings/projects.
The access component of the DAS relates to access to the development to cover vehicular access, transport links and movement of pedestrians to demonstrate inclusive access.
Access Statements for Building Control purposes
Access statements are requested by Local Authority Building Control or Approved Inspector to explain why the specific guidance in Approved Document M (ADM) cannot be achieved.
